In the presence of the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mohamed Abdelmalek Al-Faqih, and several senior officials, and with the aim of protecting the organization and individuals from extortion and breaches, as well as promoting electronic awareness and culture among employees, a seminar titled “Common Types of Cyber Crimes and How to Protect Ourselves from Becoming Victims” was held today, Wednesday, in the main hall, organized and supervised by the Criminal Investigation Department – Central Branch.
The seminar was attended by the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department – Central Branch, Major General Belkacem Dadd, and included numerous technical and legal details on data and account protection, as well as safe communication methods and ways to report cybercrime.
The seminar covered several topics, including:
– What is cybercrime?
-Types of cybercrimes.
-Negative effects of cybercrime.
-Cybercrimes in Libyan law.
-The role of the Criminal Investigation Department in combating information technology crimes.
-How to secure personal accounts.
At the end of the seminar, attendees were given the opportunity to share their opinions and ask various questions.
